Thanks for stopping by! Hey, why don't you do what all the cool kids are doing and subscribe to my RSS feed? You know you want to, so go ahead, be bad, be very very bad... :) Thanks.
I have been avoiding this moment for quite a while now and I think it is time that I admit the problem and deal with it. I have come to the conclusion that I should not be allowed to call myself a “techie” anymore. Furthermore, I have decided it would be in the best interest of everyone if I handed in my techie license immediately. At one time, I considered myself somewhat technically proficient. Now I was never a programmer or developer, but if I needed to write a little ASP with a dash of VB and maybe some JavaScript and HTML for good measure, I was there, I could do it. I was in the zone. I would hear the Rocky theme in my head as I was creating those table cells or those SQL calls.
Though recently I have received a rude awakening as I have begun to try to better understand WordPress, PHP and all those fabulous little widgets running around. I realized that I know less and less each day and quite possibly, I might be getting dumber each day as well. That’s right, the IQ is dropping like Bush’s favorable numbers. If you ask my girlfriend, I think she would back me up on that.
I am playing around with this MyAvatar plugin which for some reason I cannot get people’s pictures to come up in the comments. It’s like a two step process and I am still screwing that up. What’s next? Should I bring into work a bib just in case I start dribbling on myself? Oh well, it is a young men and women’s game now. Maybe I need to be placed in one of those glass cases that says, “In Case of Emergency, Break Glass”. Though mine would read,
“DO NOT BREAK UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES! YES, THIS MEANS YOU! NOW GO AWAY!”
Hmmm, all of a sudden I feel very depressed. Oh well, if you need me, I will be hanging over there in the corner. Hey, is needle point tough to learn?

I’m right there with you, Cord. At 36 years of age, I am definitely not learning anything new and retaining less each day. I used to be the guy people went to about web design. Now I’m so far behind the leaders have already lapped me twice.
That being said, Being a graphic artist, I can still rely on my “creative cool” credentials to get me through.
Hi Cord-Just read your profile info.I’m overwhelmed to have such an experienced marketer as my community member.Have to admit that I’m still quite new to this diverse Blogosphere and am constantly trying to learn. Do send in your feedback, suggestions or requests about my little blog Cyber-Holidays,
Regards, Casey
Dave, I will hit 36 in a couple of months so I guess I will have to keep up my creative cool at as well. Thanks for stopping by.
I guess that you got the plugin to work?
LOL, I did. It just took me a while to figure it out.
