Thanks for stopping by! Hey, why don't you do what all the cool kids are doing and subscribe to my RSS feed? You know you want to, so go ahead, be bad, be very very bad... :) Thanks.
Recently my feed reader has been filling up with all these new and great blogs that I have been discovering. While this is great news, it is also taking a toll on my reader. Presently, I am using Pageflakes as my feed aggregator and reader. It’s good, but it is not great. I was using Google’s homepage before Pageflakes and I was not crazy about that either.
So I am asking my fellow bloggers and readers alike out there to comment and let me know what you are using as a feed reader and whether you like it or not? I appreciate all opinions and thoughts. Thanks!

I just switched from Bloglines to Google Reader. Bloglines is a great service, but since I’m in Google for so many other things, its just easier to use Google Reader. I’d recommend both products.
Google Reader does the job nicely for me. I know there is a bit of a lag between posting and it appearing in the reader - just depends on whether you need “time critical” updates. I read today that Robert Scoble (http://scobleizer.com) reads 29,000 posts a month & he uses Google reader - so if it can handle that kind of volume…
I second bloglines.
This may seem “old” technology, but I’m just using Microsoft Internet Explorer’s feed reader. It is awful nice to open the window right next to whatever page I’m surfing. The tabs, I know old technology, make it nice to flip between reader and active page or posting.
I watch about 1,000 sites a day. I’m sure that some of the more advanced readers can do more with a feed, but I just want to skim them and grab the couple important sites for the day.
Google Reader. I like being able to subscribe on the fly using two clicks.
I also love that I can share what I am reading or what I have starred. I can display these on my blog in a “Clip” or they are aggregated on a separate web page that I could link to or even display in something like an IFrame or BittyBrowser.
Many options to choose from and there is no download or install.
Hmmm, well it looks like there is no silver bullet out there yet. Dave, Meg, Adam, Steve and Derek, thank you very much for your insight and opinions, they are very much appreciated!
I started out with Google Reader, then experimented with Netvibes for a while; learned my lesson and now I’m back with my first love — Google Reader…
ncho, I hear ya. I was playing with Pageflakes, but I am also back to Google Reader. Thanks for your feedback and thanks for stopping by.
I started out with bloglines, but I’m now using netvibes. I’m a graphic type person, so netvibes suits me.
I’m keeping my research blogs on bloglines (300+ excellent blogs, and growing) and have transferred daily reads to netvibes.
So far it’s working out well as I’m not tempted by all those great reads.
I have just blogged about this myself - I was a Sage fan (firefox add on) but I needed an on-line aggregator and reader. I have tried Bloglines in the past and tried again but the upgrade to Google Reader makes it the winner hands down. I have just scanned though 100 blog posts this morning - Starred a few to look at in more details later, shared a couple of great posts are they are now published in a clip on my my blogs, then a couple of posts inspired me to writea blog post. very productive morning.
