Thanks for stopping by! Hey, why don't you do what all the cool kids are doing and subscribe to my RSS feed? You know you want to, so go ahead, be bad, be very very bad... :) Thanks.
I can’t figure out if this is the worst commercial I have ever seen or the absolute best. You be the judge.

What’s not to like about a mini mall?
Based on your t’rati tag:-)…
Now, what would happen if they asked customers to create their own rap to the same tune and send in the video via YouTube?
“My sofa, my table, I got it…at the mini-mall!, They gave me a discount, I love ‘em…at the mini-mall. Check it out, now”
I guess you have already judged it as worst commercial…
Cord - you should check out DC’s answer to the Mini Mall -

Being bad has never been so good - or rather entertaining.
Like you say, it’s not all bad. I’m sure there are plenty of people with that terrible song in their head (including me.) If you’ve ever seen ‘King of Cars’ on A&E, you know that Towbin Dodge has used similar tactics and is very successful. They use low budget commercials to get buzz (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vPoEGydUjWQ)
I love this guy! it is a little long being 2 mins, but shorten it up to a 30 sec or 1 min spot so Bob Saget and Wink Martindale could add it to their greatest/worst commercial TV shows.
By the way.. i hope I can move like that when I am his age cuz I am already his weight.. well almost, but working on it.
he… doesn’t… blink…. must… buy… furniture…
for my money, it’s still not as bas as “All I want for Xmas is a PSP”
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0G0LlXv-nyI
in all its craptacular glory.
My favorite part of this whole things is that he changes clothes. There were actually several takes so he could have the jacket on, the jacket off, the white suit, etc. I might drive to this place and buy furniture just cause of the commercial.
I think for one second he broke into the ‘cabbage patch’, but I could be wrong. I think this is hands down one of the worst commercials I have seen since the Toyota of Durham guy rolled into town. If you don’t focus which is very easy watching this train wreck you don’t even realize it’s a commercial about furniture. It just takes you back to the mid 80’s and a really whack rap video on BET.
Terrible commercial, brilliant marketing. This guy’s ad was so bad, he ended up on the Ellen Degeneris show.
Jud - I know that Toyota from Durham guy - I lived in Durham for some time and went to UNC. That guy is everywhere.
LOL, thanks everyone for all your comments, they were all entertaining…
Matt - Mark Jacobsen is his name and swindling people is his game. He even has his own bobble head now - LOL!
Matt, Mark Jacobsen is his name and swindling people is his game. He even has his own bobble head now which is quite disturbing in its own right - LOL!
I will never get that song out of my head now.
Thanks SO much Cord.
That guy is the biggest ham in the world. He seems like somebody who had such a blast performing that he got carried away with the video.
I know I’m way late to this thread, but that commercial — deliberately or not — is brilliant. Make it shorter, by all means, but there is only one meaningful question: Has the spot brought more visitors to that mini-mall? Hell, yes. And my guess is that it will continue to bring more visitors for a long time, which makes it more effective than most TV advertising by a LONG shot. Re-tag it, Cord! — BEST COMMERCIAL –
