Remember Me

17 April 2007 by Cord Silverstein, 12 Comments

Thanks for stopping by! Hey, why don't you do what all the cool kids are doing and subscribe to my RSS feed? You know you want to, so go ahead, be bad, be very very bad... :) Thanks.

An absolutely amazing video by a soldier named Lizzie Palmer. She puts into perspective that no matter how you feel about George Bush and the war, you cannot forget about the honorable soldiers over there doing their jobs.  We must hold them in the absolute highest regards.

Amen to that. I’ve always had tremendous respect for our armed forces. I thank God they’re standing on that wall for us.

BTW My next door neighbor is recently back from Iraq and you wouldn’t believe some of the crap they have to endure.

Bravo! I hope the Dems have watched this. These brave people are fighting for our freedom against those who want to kill us…Americans for no other reason than that we are Americans. get them before they get us.

    She needs a new job.

Amen, Cord. What a powerful message! To anyone who has served in the Armed Forces and reads this — “Thank you for your service and your sacrifice.”

We have brave and honorable people protecting this country and for that I’m thankful!

Jud seems you’re also thankful for the top ten babes in sports.

The tears have dried enough to type! This is very inspiring. I have several friends from church who have rotated in and out of Iraq and Pakistan. It is always amazing to me to see how strong and giving their families. No matter what our politics these brave and sacrificial people deserve our greatest respect and support.

Thanks Cord for posting this. I will share it with others.

    Thanks for sharing this.
My younger brother served in the Australian Navy during the first pass of this conflict in the early 90′s. I see the sacrifice he made continues to effect his life even to this day.
The scars of war are a heavy burden for everyone to wear and they only diminish over a very long period of time. The love and support for our brave members of the armed forces needs to be present and vocal for decades to come.

    Just an FYI…

The author of the ‘Remember Me’ video is Elizabeth “Lizzie” Palmer, a 15-yo high school sophomore from Columbus, OH. She’s not a soldier, although she hopes to enlist in the U. S. Army one day.

And as for the “I hope the Dems have watched this.” comment, puh-lease!

Openly disagreeing with the policies of Shrub is just one of the many freedoms these men and women are fighting for… and doing so doesn’t mean that one supports our troops one iota less than anyone who thinks Shrub walks on water.

Support the troops, damn the war!

  11. Patricia W. Williams 8 May 2007 at 11:55 am #

The best way to support the troops is to SUPPORT BRINGING THEM HOME IMMEDIATELY. Saddam is gone. There weren’t
any weapons of mass destruction. The 9/11 attackers
were Saudis. The “freedom loving people who love freedom
because they love democracy ” who we were ostensibly
freeing from Saddam are focused upon killing us while
they kill each other. Wake up folks! These troops aren’t
protecting US from anything. They’re the victims of a
civil war that WE started and may never be able to stop.
THEY ALSO ENLISTED. When you enlist in the military
you aren’t volunteering to teach Sunday school. Could
we have a little reality check here?

    To Lizzie,
I want to thank you for such a wonderful video. I am so moved by your video, and have watched many times. I want to thank you for a job well done, this is one of the best videos I have ever had the pleasure of watching. When I watch “Remember Me” it reduces me to tears every time. For all the people in this video and for all the U.S Military families who have lost a loved one,we can never thank you enough for your sacrifice’s
    Thanks
