Sometimes those pieces that leave you with questions rather than answers can be very powerful. But this one didn't connect for me like that. There's not enough here in this single video to make me invest the emotion to care in the kid. If this is one piece of a serial, and I had seen some other episodes, then maybe I'd get invested, but this particular video just left me saying, "what was that?" It didn't engage me enough to make me want to go out and seek out other videos or more information about Dax and his story. Although I will concede that the second question that keeps coming to mind for me, regardless of whether it's scripted or not is, "Where are his parents?" Are they aware of what he's putting out there? As the parent of a 3+ year old who can navigate Sesame Street's website largely unassisted, it does give me chills.
