Cord Silverstein

Thanks for stopping by.  I appreciate your interest.  Let me introduce myself, my name is Cord Silverstein and this is my little place in cyberspace.

I know on your about page you are supposed to spout off about all your experience and your jobs and just how special you are.  I don’t think I am going to do that.  Instead, let me tell you a few things that hopefully you will find much more interesting.

A little background, I am a “Damn Yankee” living and working in Raleigh, North Carolina.  If you are unfamiliar with that term, a yankee is anyone born north of the Mason-Dixon line which I was, born and raised in Philadelphia.  And the Damn part is any Yankee who comes down here and doesn’t leave.  Some people don’t like that.  Unfortunately for them,  I came down here to visit eight years ago and never left! I even met and married a good old southern girl.  Her parents were absolutely thrilled… :)

Most of my professional life has been spent working on the web in one way or the other.  Would I consider myself  an expert, absolutely not.  I try to learn new things each and everyday.  What I am passionate about is the incredible and wonderful communities that technology is enabling to be created all over the web.  We have reached a point where there are no borders or boundaries and anyone, I mean anyone who wants their voice to be heard online has an opportunity to do so.

Think about it how exciting that is!  So I am all about community.  Engaging with smart, talented people who can bring riches to my life, educate me and hopefully make me laugh once in a while.

If you have any interest in anything I just wrote, welcome and let’s connect.
